NC State Lands Commitment

The Wolfpack of NC State have added another top player to their class of 2002.
"I committed on my visit to NC State," said defensive tackle Alan Holloway from Garden City (N.Y.) Nassau County C.C. "I liked the feeling I got there and all the coaches told me the right things. I have two years to play two and I plan on playing right away."

Holloway has bulked up to 290 pounds on his 6-foot-2 frame and boasted seven sacks and "a ton of tackles" this past season. He'll enroll in August.
"I'm looking forward to it," he said. "I think our defensive line can be one of the best in the ACC right away. The program is on the rise."
Holloway had offers from Wisconsin, Syracuse and North Carolina and heavy interest from Maryland and Tennessee.
