Miami (Fla.) Northwestern linebacker Taurean Charles thinks he’s headed out of state to play college football next year.
“My two favorites are NC State and Rutgers,” the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder said. “I’ll visit both of them in December. I really like the coaching staff at both schools. I’ll also probably decide on trips to either Oklahoma, Florida State, Auburn or Alabama.”
Charles estimates his offers to number between 12 and 15 and claims offers from all his favorites. With his size and 4.55-second 40-yard dash speed, Charles could also play defensive end in college. He bench presses 375 pounds and has an impressive 36-inch vertical jump.
“I won’t decide until late,” he said. “I’ll probably take most of my visits in December or January.”
