NC sleeper WR is getting noticed

Matthews (N.C.) Butler is filled with talent in the 2008 recruiting class. The latest prospect to get noticed is wide receiver Jarrett Boykin who committed to Virginia Tech. The Bulldogs have another wideout still looking around in 6-foot-2, 216-pounder Mickey Brewer.
"He's got an offer from Kent State and a lot of I-AA schools," Butler head coach Mike Newsome said. "It's just a matter of finding the right fit. Athletically, he's not quite what people are looking for at every position because his size is not big enough for tight end, and his speed not quite fast to be a true receiver.

"He is a great possession receiver and it's a matter of finding a school that needs that. He can take advantage of defensive backs and make big blocks. I think he's a perfect H-back."
Besides the Kent State offer, who else is interested in Brewer?
"I've gotten calls from Miami, Colorado, North Carolina and a few others," he said. "The Miami coaches like him a lot. He's a lot like those big athletic tight ends they use.
"I'm really hoping a school like Duke or Vanderbilt comes in that requires a bit more academics because he's a good student. I think more schools may offer in the future for him."
