NC quarterback getting attention

Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard quarterback Brandon Miley is still looking for his first scholarship offer, but has been getting interest from various Atlantic Coast Conference programs and took a visit to one during the weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 193-pounder traveled to Chapel Hill, N.C., this past weekend for the Tar Heels' Junior Day event.

"It was a fun trip," he said. "I got to talk to the coaches there. It was a nice school with nice facilities."
Miley got the chance to take in North Carolina's first spring practice.
"It was good to watch their coaches with their athletes," he said. "I also got to talk with (new Tar Heels offensive coordinator) Frank Cignetti. He knows what he is doing and wants me to come down for their camp this summer."
Miley has been getting text messages and letters from UNC, along with N.C. State and Virginia, among others.
"Pretty much all of the ACC schools (have been sending mail)," he said.
Miley, who threw for 1,400 yards and 13 touchdowns a season ago, grew up a fan of Virginia Tech.
"I was born and my dad played at Virginia Tech," he said. "We have always followed that program."
Miley will be looking at various aspects of a program before making a final decision.
"I will be looking at the coaches and the types of coaching," he said. "Also things like location and academics."
Miley will attend the Clemson NIKE Camp May 21 on the campus of Clemson University.
