NC OL Chaffin picks Stanford

On Monday evening three-star offensive lineman Brian Chaffin brought his recruitment to a close. The Charlotte (N.C.) Christian stand out announced on Twitter that he committed to Stanford.
"Stanford is a great combination of academics and athletics," said the 6-foot-1, 286-pound Chaffin. "They are playing great football and are a top five program in the country. I felt comfortable that Stanford was a great fit."

Chaffin clearly values education very highly and there aren't many better than Stanford.
"One of the deciding factors was obviously the academics," he said. "They proved to me that I could have a well-rounded business degree."
The quality time Chaffin spent with the Stanford coaches while he was visiting really went a long way.
"I really bonded with players and felt comfortable with the staff," Chaffin said. "I feel extremely comfortable with a lot of their staff. Coach Bloomgren, coach Taylor and even coach Shaw. I really think it's an important to have a good relationship with your position coach. I really trust him and really respect the way that he coaches and the way he goes about his business. It was great to see that and spend time with him when I was down there."
N.C. State and Duke were Chaffin's other two finalists.
