Offensive tackle Justin Ward out of Reidsville (N.C.) Rockingham County will be taking his first official visit this weekend. Where is the 6-foot-5, 280-pounder headed?
"Actually this weekend I'm taking an official to Buffalo," he said. "They've got a game against Baylor. I just want to see how that goes and find out a few more things about the school."
At this time, Ward claims Buffalo is his leader.
"Buffalo does stick out. They are on me the hardest of anybody, but I've got to find out about other schools."
The two-star prospect holds an offer from Marshall and a verbal from Ball State.
"I'm also getting calls regularly from Middle Tennessee and then Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke and North Carolina State are in touch," he said. "They are all requesting film and hopefully I'll hear something from them soon."
This season, Ward has helped his team to a 2-2 record.
"We won our first game and lost the next two and then won last week," he said. "We're a pretty young team and had some injuries early that made us shift guys around. I think we should finish the season pretty strong.
"I think I've done pretty well too. I've improved a lot on my pass blocking and I'm more athletic."
