NC linebacker has incredible speed

Linebacker Charles Gamble is receiving a lot of attention from colleges early on. That's no surprise, since Gamble may be one of the fastest, most athletic linebackers in the nation.
The junior from Durham (N.C.) Southern runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, carrying his 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame remarkably well.

"My speed and motor are the two things that set me apart from a lot of other linebackers my age," said Gamble, one of central North Carolina's most highly-coveted players. "We've got a lot of talent here at Southern Durham, so I know recruiters and coaches are going to get to see me a lot."
While Gamble doesn't have a leader at this point, he did mention North Carolina, NC State, Virginia (offer), Virginia Tech, Clemson, Georgia and the 'Big Three' in Florida as possible destinations.
"A lot of that depends on what offers I get of course," he said. "But I just hope I'm playing big-time college football in a major conference two years from now. There's a long way to go, and I plan on camping and having a great senior year, so I've got plenty of time to impress people."
Gamble was an explosive offensive option at running back, rushing for 450 yards and four touchdowns, and tallied 16 sacks at linebacker. He's sure to be one of the top prospects in North Carolina in the Class of 2005.
