Navy adds Dallas commitment

Dallas (Texas) Skyline high school has a football program with as much talent as you will find anywhere. On Saturday, one of the numerous division I prospects in the program made his college decision. Cornerback Reginald Reed has committed to play football at the Naval Academy.
"I committed to the Naval Academy," Reed said on Sunday. "I did it on Saturday. I've been looking at it for a while. They've been talking to me since last spring, I've just been waiting on that offer."

On Friday, the offer arrived and it didn't take long for Reed to jump on board, committing just a day later.
"I like the school in general," he said. "I like the opportunity and education wise. I know a little bit about the football program, not too much though. I'm hoping to get up there soon."
Reed had a good bit of interest but the Navy offer was his first. He was a big part of Skyline's deep playoff run in 2008 and should be a good addition to the always competitive Navy program.
"I was real excited about it," he said. "[My parents] are happy for me."
