Navy adding talent from Texas

Friendswood (Texas) fullback Austin Beaty is slated to be the next big Texas back for the Naval Academy.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Beaty follows Adam Ballard of Lewisville, Texas, as the Navy's future back.

"He went to the Army-Navy game in December and he was real impressed," father Roy Beaty said. "I went with him last weekend to his official visit and the trip was great. He got a very intimate tour, along with the five other recruits in town last weekend. He got to spend some time with Coach Ken Niumatolo, who explained in detail what they do with fullbacks at the Naval Academy."
Beaty rushed for more than 900 yards as a senior and was an all-district selection. His roommate on the trip was Galena Park North Shore's Chase McEntee.
The 6-foot-1, 253-pound defensive lineman will visit Fresno State this weekend, but also enjoyed his visit to Annapolis.
"I really loved it up there," he said. "The academics, the facilities and just the opportunities that come with a degree from the Naval Academy are very attractive. The Navy trip will be hard to beat. We got to hang out with the seniors and they showed us around. It was great."
After Fresno State, McEntee will be visiting Texas State and Sam Houston State.
