Nations top junior up to 21 offers

In the past two years, the Nike Camp at Penn State has proved to be a launching pad for not just top rising seniors but rising juniors as well. Two years ago, the nation's current top prospect Derrick Williams and top five national player Justin King put on a show and haven't slowed down since. This past spring, it was Princeton's (N.J.) The Hun School defensive back Myron Rolle who had a dominating showing and is our early choice as the top junior prospect in the country.
Rolle, 6-2, 205 pounds was every bit as impressive this past May as Williams and King were when they were just rising juniors. The talented safety tested well clocking a 4.53 in the 40, 4.25 in the shuttle, jumped 34 inches in the vertical and did 18 reps on the bench. Even more impressive was his play in the position and one on one drills. Being a safety, we didn't expect the athlete to also be the top cover man at the camp but that's exactly what he was.

Rolle showed great athleticism in his ability to backpedal, turn and run and when the defensive backs were able to play bump coverage, very few receivers even got off the line of scrimmage against him. Rolle is ever more impressive in pads when he's actually able to hit someone. He's a ferocious tackler who earned second team all-state honors as a freshman when he totaled 90 tackles and five picks. As a sophomore, he recorded 102 tackles while also rushing for 1,030 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Rolle is such a talent, if we were to rank him among the current class of 2005, we would have him as one of the top three safeties in the country right now. Not surprising, the scholarship offers have been flooding in and the talented safety picked up offers 20 and 21 this week.
"Boston College and UCLA both offered this week," Rolle's older brother McKinley said. "Myron spoke to UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell and recruiting coordinator Don Johnson and liked them a lot. We also finally spoke with Florida State. Florida State is a school our whole family has liked for awhile but if we didn't hear from them by the end of the summer, we wouldn't be considering them any more.
"USC and LSU have also been calling the coaches at the school and saying how interested they are in Myron. Right now, Myron has every offer he's looking for except Florida State and USC. Both are definitely on his list though. Among the schools that have offered, Myron has a top seven of Oklahoma, Miami, Michigan, Iowa, UCLA, Florida and Notre Dame."
Off the field, Rolle is just as impressive as he is on the field carrying a 4.0 GPA and said he would like to major in Neurology.
