Nations top juco player taking time

When you’re the nation’s No. 1 junior college prospect, you are sure to get a lot of calls and attention, but if you want to talk to Snow (Utah) College super-star offensive lineman Taitusi “Duece” Lutui most of his talking gets done on Sunday. That’s when he focuses on recruiting calls from the college.
“It just works out best that way,” Lutui, who is 6-foot-5 and 370 pounds, said. “It’s about the only day that I have to relax when I’m not worrying about school, classes and all the other stuff.”

Lutui, who is a Mormon, said he’s still excited about all of the teams recruiting him. He’s already visited Nebraska and is working on official visits to USC, Kansas State, BYU and Boise State.
“I’ve got Boise set up for sure,” he said. “I go the last weekend in December. That’s what December 19? I’m going to set up Kansas State when the coaches call me again. I was going to see USC this weekend, but I’ll work that out some time soon.”
That trip to Los Angeles probably will be in January, which means the chase for the nation’s top junior college player might take quite a bit before it’s decision time.
“I don’t want to rush things,” he said. “There are a number of important things that I’m going to think about. I want to see how I’m going to fit in, what type of system they have and what the city is like. I want to be able to fit in the environment.”
