Nations top DT nears senior season
"Our season is getting closer all the time," Alief (Texas) Hastings defensive tackle Rodrique Wright said. "I'm ready to get it going and to play some football."
Wright, the top rated defensive tackle in the nation, has seen his phone ring non-stop since the September calling period opened. "I've gotten lots of calls. Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Houston, TCU and Colorado are the ones I recall. There were others, I know. It's been crazy."
"Not a lot has changed. Texas is in the lead a little bit still. The others in the top five are Oklahoma, LSU, K-State and Texas A&M. No real order on those others."
