Nations top DE favors two

Defensive end Melvin Alaeze is looking at six schools, and since he's the nation's top defensive end according to Rivals100.com it's no surprise that they've all offered. Two schools have managed to put themselves in a better position with him.
"Right now things are pretty much the same as they've been for a while," said Alaeze. "I like Maryland, Virginia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Florida and Ohio State. Maryland and Virginia Tech are standing out a little bit. They're not far from home, they have good programs and I'm really impressed with their coaches. But I'm looking at all of those schools."

The 6-foot-2, 277-pound defensive end from Randallstown, Maryland hasn't set up any official visits yet. Does he plan on taking all of them?
"Probably not," said Alaeze. "I don't think I'll end up taking all five official visits. I might take a couple, but I don't even know about that. I don't have a timeframe for when I'll make a decision. I'm mostly focusing on our season right now.
"We're 4-4, and we won our last game. If we want to get into the playoffs we'll need to win our last two, so that's basically what I'm thinking about. On the season I have like 38 tackles and about 15 sacks, so I'm doing well."
