Nations Top CB Still Open

The best cornerback in the country is still keeping his options open.
“Florida State and Florida are my leaders right now,” said Jacksonville (Fla.) Andrew Jackson superstar Leon Washington. “I’ll also look at Auburn, Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan State and South Carolina.”
Washington, who plays running back, wide receiver and can punt, kick and hold on kicks in addition to playing cornerback, will visit Florida State unofficially for their games against Georgia Tech and Miami and he’ll also attend the Florida-Florida State game and a Miami game as well on an unofficial basis.
“I can do all the Florida schools unofficially so I’ll probably take official visits to Oklahoma and South Carolina for sure,” he said. “I camped at South Carolina and really enjoyed it up there. Lou Holtz is a legend and it was great to meet him. They showed me a lot of attention. Oklahoma is obviously a great program and they’re the defending champs.”
The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder could be the top athlete in the country.
“I’ll probably set up my visits near the end of my season,” he said. “A lot could change between now and then.”
