Nations No. 2 CB has top two

When you’re one of the top players in Florida, the odds of you leaving the state are often very small. And when you look at Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White cornerback Dee Webb’s list, the odds are very, very small. That’s because of his final four teams only one of them is from outside the Sunshine State.

“I have all of my trips set,” Webb said. “I go first to Florida next weekend on December 6, Oklahoma on December 13, Miami on December 20 and Florida State on January 17. But I guess this could all be up in the air if we keep winning in the playoffs.”
And they just might.
Webb and his teammates are in the third round of the state playoffs and they battle a very talented Edgewater squad this Friday night.
“We’re just getting to see what they’re like on film,” he said. “We’re going to have to bring our A game.”
Just like Florida State and Oklahoma are going to have to do to beat out Florida and Miami, the top two teams on his list.
“I’m liking Florida and Miami,” Webb, a five-star selection that is 6-foot and 185 pounds, said. “I don’t know what it is about Florida. I guess it’s maybe because my coach reminds me a lot of coach (Ron) Zook. They’re also pretty good friends and I’ve talked to coach Zook a lot.
“And then there is Miami. What is there not to like about them? They win everything.”
