National Signing Day: Potential flippers

MORE NSD: Predictions | Coverage | Storylines
Every recruiting year players flip their commitments, it's becoming more common and the word "de-commitment" is not regularly accepted in any football fans' vocabulary. However, only a few are brazen enough to do so on National Signing Day, giving the school they had been committed to zero chance to fill their slot. As usual, that will happen this year as well.

Rivals.com national analyst Mike Farrell breaks down a few players to watch for when it comes to the big flip.
1. More Cal commits
We've already seen five-star Shaq Thompson and four-star Jordan Payton flip from California to Washington, and some of the other current Bears could flip as well. Four-star wide receivers Bryce Treggs and Kenneth Walker could end up elsewhere. Treggs is looking at UCLA while Walker is looking at Washington and UCLA. Treggs is most likely to stick but Walker could say goodbye as well. Four-star athlete Cedric Dozier sticking by Jeff Tedford is a big, but Cal is trying to avoid a couple more losses.
2. Landon Collins
Collins, a five-star safety, committed to Alabama on national television to the clear dismay of his mother and there has been speculation that he could end up caving to mom's wishes and flipping to LSU, the school many expected him to choose in the first place. In what has become known as a battle between girlfriend (Alabama) and mom (LSU), this is one to watch.
3. LB Reggie Northrup
The current four-star Miami commitment has been rumored to be a flip to Florida State come signing day for a while now. Most people think he will end up as a Seminole in the end, another big boost for their class, but Al Golden and company won't go down without a fight.
4. WR JaQuay Williams
Williams, a four-star receiver from the Peach State, is committed to Auburn but there is a chance that he could end up flipping to Georgia and decide to stay home. He took his final official visit to Athens and many in-state are convinced he could pull the old signing day fliparoo.
5. QBs Jameis Winston and Cyler Miles

When quarterbacks are even slightly rumored to flip, it's always big news ever since Anthony Morelli dissed Pittsburgh and Ryan Perrilloux drew the ire of Texas fans. Both players turned out to be busts, so fair warning to five-star Winston and four-star Miles who are flirting with Stanford and USC, respectively. More likely than not each will stick with their current teams, FSU and Washington, but who knows?
