COPPELL, Texas - Taz Williams has quickly emerged as one of the most coveted wide receiver recruits in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

The Red Oak (Texas) pass catcher grabbed his first offer from Texas A&M weeks prior to his sophomore season in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Since then, Williams has seen his offer sheet expand in a big way over the last several months.

"I remember this time last year, I had nothing. I was just praying and hoping that something would happen," Williams told Rivals. "Then when (the offers) finally came, it just took off from there."

Originally from Pennsylvania, Williams has made his presence felt in a big way down in the Lone Star State. He is a crafty route runner that creates separation and gets open with ease. The wideout has made numerous stops to different colleges this offseason.

Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas are among the powerhouse programs that have hosted Williams on campus since his sophomore season ended. He added an offer from the Longhorns in May, and that caught his attention in a big way.

"I've been down there multiple times, and I fell in love with it," Williams said of Texas. "I was just waiting on them to offer me. They told me to keep working and everything would fall into place."

Ohio State is a just a drive away from where Williams grew up in Pennsylvania. An offer from the Buckeyes to play wide receiver was significant for the big-play threat. He grew up watching the program and knows the success they've had at that position.

"That was big because when I was younger, that was the school that I wanted to go to," said Williams. "Getting that offer means a lot, especially from the head coach. It's just a couple hours from my hometown."

Still early in the process, Williams is keeping an open mind to each program that offers and recruits him. He's not ready to name any official list of favorites and is willing to play anywhere around the country.

Rivals ranks Taz Williams as the No. 111 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Red Oak playmaker is the No. 20 recruit in the state of Texas and the No. 23 wide receiver nationally for his class.
