N.Y. tight end with multiple offers

Robert Kugler is a prospect from Orchard Park, N.Y. Kugler, 6-3 and 240 pounds, plays on both sides of the ball at tight end and defensive end. Last year as a junior he recorded 80 tackles and had 13 receptions.
"Most teams like me as a tight end," Kugler said. "I am really good with run blocking and coaches seem to think I can really develop into a good receiver. We don't throw much but I do have soft hands."

According to Kugler is has scholarship offers from Syracuse, Purdue, Boise State, West Virginia, Colorado State, Akron, Buffalo, and Florida Atlantic.
"I have been to Syracuse and Purdue for their junior days.
"I have been to Syracuse a few times. I really like the coaches there a lot. I know the new quarterbacks coach (Paul Hackett). He's a good friend of ours and a great guy. Coach (Doug) Marrone will turn it around there.
"I really like the campus at Purdue. The coaches are great and it's a real college experience. Plus, you can't beat the Big 10.
"I also went to West Virginia last season for a seven-on-seven. I still want to visit Colorado State this spring and camp at Boise State this summer."
Does Kugler have a favorite among the teams that have offered him?
"I am pretty open right now and don't have a favorite. But I would love to make decision before football starts.
"It's not all about playing time. I want to like the coaches. I know they come and go. My dad is a coach. I want to really like the University I choose."
