TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Jamari Brown isn’t interest in making bold proclamations. Despite releasing a top-7, He hasn’t officially named a frontrunner. The Pompano Beach (Fla.) Blanche Ely cornerback doesn’t make reading between the lines particularly difficult, though.

That starts when he’s asked which schools on his somewhat lengthy offer list he hopes to visit.

“I for sure going to Kentucky on an official during the fall,” He said. “I’m going to go to Louisville, too. Those are the ones I know.”

Brown, who recently visited NC State, is forming relationships quickly. Asked which schools are in most frequent contact, he takes things a step further. Brown may not offer up information, but he sure doesn’t go out of his way to conceal it. He notes that NC State, Kentucky, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Temple have “a great chance” to land his commitment.

It’s not a hard list of leaders per se, but it’s certainly something. He goes on to describe how he’ll choose between them.

”I really don’t have a school I like most,” Brown said. “I just want a place where I can play as a true freshman and be able to compete. That’s what I’ll base my choice on.”

A loose timetable for a commitment seems to be in the works as well. Brown will go about his summer, weighing the options in front of him before making a quick choice this fall. The plan, it seems, is taking shape.

“I’ll probably commit in September,” Brown said. “It will be either the first or second game of my season.”
