This installment is from four-star offensive tackle Brett Gallimore of Riverside (Mo.) Park Hill South. Gallimore talks about his unofficial visit to Michigan.
This week was pretty much the same as usual. We practiced hard in preparation for Columbia Hickman.
We played Friday night and lost 31-20. Columbia Hickman was a fast team with not a lot of size. But, they played well against us. We made some turnovers at crucial times and it cost us a win.
Saturday morning early, I met with my brother Erik and his wife to travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. and watch the Michigan Notre Dame game. The game was not a close one as usual and Michigan took it to Notre Dame.
When the game was over, we were able to spend some time with the coaches and a few of the players.
I went out with a couple of redshirt freshmen to see campus and some of the town. We discussed the University of Michigan and the football program. It was an enjoyable time and the players were great.
Sunday morning we met with Coach Moeller and Coach Carr to talk about Michigan.
We spent a couple of hours with the coaches and then parted for the airport.
The weekend was enjoyable and informative.
This was my second trip to Michigan.
I'm back to school and practicing in preparation for Lee Summit North on Friday.
