MVP brings added buzz for Jefferson

Noah Jefferson still awaits his first scholaship offer, but that's not to say the MVP trophy he won at the Northern California stop of the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour didn't change his recruitment. Word of the defensive ends performance got around. And it got around quickly.
The Facebook friend requests overwhelmed him and new interest arrived by the bucket. Still, on interaction stood out from the pack.

"The day after the camp, I talked to Coach [Chris] Wilson from USC," Jefferson said. "We just talked about how they want to start the recruiting process with me. He said we'd talk about offers in the future. He just wants to get to know me now. I got invited to the junior day. I'm going to go."
It's not as though Jefferson's recruitment was totally void of buzz before he showed up at camp. A defensive end at Las Vegas' Liberty High School and a three-star prospect, Jefferson has been hearing from coaches for some time.
What the camp did was give his recruitment another push in the right direction. According to Jefferson, it shouldn't be long until he breaks into the offer column.
"Arizona State talks to me a lot. I think they're on the verge of offering, They tell me that they will offer me sometime after my spring break. That's the third week of April. I talk to Washington State, too. He just tells me to keep up with my grades and all that."
Is in the process of planning a visit schedule and is likely to tour the campuses of Arizona State, USC and other regional programs this offseason, though, nothing has been set in stone.
As a junior at Liberty, Jefferson helped lead his team to a 10-4 overall record and an appearance in the semifinals of the Nevada state tournament.
