Murray to announce college choice Thursday

One of the nation's top QB recruits in the Class of 2009 and the first invitee to the 2008 Elite 11, Aaron Murray out of Tampa (Fla.) Plant, will announce his college choice next Thursday.
"Aaron has been ready now for a little bit but just wanted to make sure of it," said Plant head coach Robert Weiner on Saturday.

"He's sat on it for a little bit now and feels good about it, so we'll have a press conference, probably in the locker room at the high school on Thursday and announce his choice."
Murray, who exploded onto the national scene last fall as a junior, passing for over 4,000 yards and a Florida single-season record 51 touchdown passes, narrowed his choices to Florida and Georgia a few weeks back after returning from an unofficial to UCLA.
He was the first quarterback locked into the 2008 Elite 11, to be held July 21-24 in Southern California, after his MVP performance last Sunday at the Gainesville Nike Camp.
The 6-1, 200 pounder collected over 50 scholarship offers before narrowing his choices to two and either the Gators or the Bulldogs will get one of the Class of 2009's best come Thursday.
