Murphy could decide soon

Hoover (Ala.) defensive tackle Kerry Murphy, one of the top prospects in the state of Alabama for the class of 2007, could be nearing a decision date.
"It's possible (that I will commit) at the end of the month (June)," Murphy said.

Murphy did not name a leader on Wednesday, but the 6-foot-5, 315-pounder did say that four schools, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Kentucky, are the programs that he is the most focused on at the moment.
All are SEC programs, which Murphy says is important.
"It's where the best football is played," he said.
Murphy gave specific comments to Rivals.com about each SEC school he is considering.
Alabama: "I've always liked Alabama. I've always liked their coaching. I like coach Charlie Harbison, coach David Turner and coach Mike Shula.
Auburn: "I like Auburn. I call and talk to coach Terry Price all of the time and we send text messages back and forth."
Ole Miss: "I like Ole Miss because of coach Ed Orgeron. I like Coach O a lot."
Kentucky: "I liked Kentucky when I went up and visited it. I like coach Steve Brown, my recruiting coach."
Murphy also has offers from Louisville, Clemson and Mississippi State.
Murphy had 77 tackles (13 for loss) and eight sacks his junior season.
