Miami (Fla.) Coral Reef linebacker prospect Malcolm Munroe says he plans to narrow down his list of schools in the near future. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder talked about that timeframe and some new scholarship offers in this interview with Rivals.com.
"In two weeks to a month, I am going to narrow it down to a top 10," Munroe said. "I hope to have that soon."
Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville, South Carolina, Syracuse, Kentucky, UAB, Connecticut and Rutgers are among the scholarship offers for Munroe.
"Recruiting hasn't really been picking up during the summer," Munroe said. "In fact, it's slowed down a little bit.
"No one in particular is recruiting me harder than anyone else. All of them are recruiting me."
Because of a busy summer academic schedule, Munroe isn't making rounds on the summer camp circuit.
"I doubt (I will be going to any camps)," he said. "I have summer school and an SAT prep course. The only camp I may go to is Florida's Friday Night Lights Camp (July 20 in Gainesville)."
Munroe is a high (5.7) three-star rated prospect, is the No. 24 outside linebacker prospect in America and is the No. 42 overall prospect in the state of Florida according to Rivals.com.
