Mullen tours Tallahassee

There's not much certain as it relates to the recruitment of four-star defensive back Trayvon Mullen. Coming off a weekend visit to Florida State, things remain in flux. A day ater touring the FSU campus, Mullen says he has no other visits in place and refuses to name anything resembling a frontrunner.
Some assume that the Seminoles lead the Coconut Creek (Fla.) High School star's recruitment, but you won't get Mullen to say anything of the sort. Instead, he discusses his weekend trip to Tallahassee in a matter-of-fact manner.

"It was a good trip up," Mullen said via text message on Sunday. We went there and toured the school. We went to the school talked to the coaches. I got a chance to watch the game and see what the program is about. Best part was being on the sideline during the game."
The weekend pitch from The Seminole coaching staff to Mullen was a simple one. It's also one he's been hearing for weeks. There's not a lot unique about FSU's approach to landing his commitment. That's not to say the strategy won't be effective, though.
Mullen likes what he continues to hear.
"They say I can help them out a lot," Mullen said. They say I can get them far. They have a young team."
It's clear that FSU is a major player in Mullen's recruitment. That's been the case for months. Just how major is the thing that's left to be discussed. Then, there's plenty of time to wonder about that. As far as Mullen is concerned, his recruitment is still young.
He has a decision date in mind. It's a simple one. It's also more than four months away.
"Signing day," Mullen said when asked if he had targeted a time for an announcement.
Rivals.com ranks Mullen as the No. 6 cornerback and the No. 80 overall prospect in the 2016 class. Ohio State,Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Florida, Georgia join Florida State as schools heavily involved in his recruitment.
