Mullen product top back in Colorado

Denver (Colo.) Mullen running back Maurice Greer is likely the top running back in Colorado for the class of 2005.
“I have a scholarship offer from Colorado,” the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Greer said. “They are at the top of my list at this point. I like UCLA and Nebraska quite a bit. They’ve both been in contact quite a bit.”

While the three schools are the first mentioned, they are not alone in pursuit of the Denver running back.
“There are a lot of schools sending me stuff. USC, Michigan, Oregon, Arizona State, Kansas State, Missouri and Colorado State are too. It is still early. I’m wanting to check out some of the schools and see what they are like before we get too far into it.”
That process will start this weekend with a visit to Boulder for Colorado’s junior day.
“I’m going to check out the school and get a chance to see the facilities up close and talk to the people there. It should be good. I’m also hoping to get to a camp or two at some schools this summer.”
As a junior, Greer ran for 2,186 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also caught 10 passes for 59 yards.
