Muldoon focused on season

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic prospect Joe Muldoon has some playoff business to take care of before turning his attention full time to recruiting.
Muldoon, 6-foot-6, 273 pounds, will be at center for DeMatha when the 8-1 squad takes on St. John’s in the WCAC semifinals this Saturday.

“It is going to be a good game for us, and that is what I’m focused on right now,” Muldoon said. “We play our games on Saturdays, so I haven’t had many chances to visit places.”
The Maryland offensive lineman is looking at Vanderbilt, Villanova, Delaware, Pittsburgh, Army and Navy. He plans to attend the Army vs. Navy game Dec. 4 in Philadelphia.
“It is great game and I’m interested in both schools,” Muldoon said.
His interest in schools starts with academics.
“I want to go to a school with good academics and where I would be comfortable with the coaches,” Muldoon said. “I don’t have any leaders right now, and haven’t set up any official visits. I’m looking forward to getting into the recruiting after our season is over.”
Vanderbilt has offered Muldoon a scholarship so far.
