In a somewhat surprising move, Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad picked Miami Saturday during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

It seems the impending NCAA sanctions had no affect on the four-star All-American.
"I'm going to take my talents to Miami." The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Muhammad elected to go to Coral Gables instead of Notre Dame, Rutgers and Alabama.
Muhammad went on an official visit to Miami recently and seemed to have had an excellent time.
He was scheduled to go to South Bend that weekend but changed his plans. That seemed to be the turning point of his recruitment.
The Don Bosco standout is very versatile and could see some time at outside linebacker at the next level.
