Muhammad not close to decision

Khalfani Muhammad keeps loading up on offers, he's hearing from some major programs and all the while the Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame running back remains patient throughout the process.
Muhammad, a 5-foot-8, 174-pound four-star prospect by Rivals.com, is up to nine offers with Arkansas, Cal, Cincinnati, Duke, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA, Utah and Washington on the list.

One of the reasons Muhammad is waiting to make his commitment - and even name frontrunners - is because he's waiting to see if Notre Dame and USC offer. Boston College has also recently gotten involved.
He's been hearing from all three of those new programs and is definitely excited to find out where they stand as the process continues.
"I'm still kind of keeping it open," Muhammad said. "I've been talking to a few more schools and checking in with them. I want to take all my visits and then decide where I really want to go.
"I'm going to take my time with it. I don't think I'm going to commit anytime soon."
Muhammad, rated as the No. 10 running back and No. 108 recruit in the 2013 class by Rivals.com, said he wants to take official visits before making a decision and he doesn't expect many of those trips to be close to home.
His rationale is that he can take visits any time he wants to Pac-12 schools so Muhammad wants to reserve his official visits to schools far away.
"I'm probably going to take my official visits far from home," Muhammad said.
"The close ones I can really just drive to or fly really quickly. I'm going to look at my officials in terms of distance. At this point there are no frontrunners."
In his junior season, Muhammad rushed for 1,126 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was especially impressive last spring at the Los Angeles Under Armour Combine.
