Muckleroy names a top five

Hallsville, Texas linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy continues to wait with recruiting on the side while his season opener draws near.
“Nothing has changed, really,” the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Muckelroy said. “It’s still the same stuff. I get a lot of mail each day. Nothing odd or out of the ordinary, but just a lot of it.”

The pile of mail hasn’t changed anything at the top of his list.
“I like Texas and Texas A&M the most, still,” he said. “They are my top two schools. My top five includes them and Oklahoma State, LSU and Arkansas.”
While the list has been trimmed a little, the three-star rated linebacker is no closer to a decision.
“I’m no closer to a decision,” he said. “I’m getting ready for football. My time frame for making a decision will be after football and after I take all five of my visits.”
Muckelroy’s Hallsville team opens the season on Friday when they take on a talented Atlanta team.
“I’m ready for the game,” he said. “It’s always nice to play a real game. They’re a good team, so we’ll need to be ready to play.”
