MSU sets up battle with Allison commit

"I wanted to confirm to you that Ryan did commit to Michigan State today," Ryan Allison's father Roger Allison said. "I wanted to call him and make sure he said it was O.K. to tell you. He said it was."
"He committed this morning. We talked to coach Smith on his cell phone after he landed in Chicago for the Big Ten meetings."

"Coach Smith has been talking to him about wide receiver. So that is probably where he will stay. He'll be that big wideout."
The 6-foot-3 and 200 pound Allison caught 27 passes, averaged 22.7 yards per catch, and scored four times during his junior season at Lake Orion, Mich.
"UCLA was his second choice," Roger Allison continued. "They offered too. He has 15 offers right now."
Ryan's older brother Roger signed with Michigan this past recruiting season and reported today. Roger will begin as a fullback for the Wolverines, but could end up as a linebacker according to the senior Allison. And that could eventually make for an even more interesting situation at the Allison household the next few years.
