MSU moves on Tech commit

Fort Bend (Texas) Marshall offensive lineman Dimitri Lott committed to Texas Tech this summer, but one school is putting forth a bulldog of an effort to change his mind.
Mississippi State has done a number on Marshall athletes as the Bulldogs have received three verbal commitments from Bandon Cooper, Marcus Washington and Chris Herrera. They have not given up on Lott.

"I really like Coach (Sylvester) Croom," he said. "He has 17 years experience
in the NFL and has a lot of experience coaching lineman. He's a laid back guy
and I can see playing for him. They want me to play center and they have a
fifth-year senior there right now. I think I would have an opportunity."
Other schools like TCU and Iowa State are also interesting to Lott.
"I really like Coach (Gary) Patterson and that win against Oklahoma put them
on the map," he said. "Iowa State is calling a lot too."
Lott won't be taking visits until an off week or after the season at the
request of his coach. He will be in attendance at the Texas-Texas Tech game.
"I will definitely take a visit to Texas Tech and they are my favorite along
with Mississippi State," he said. "Tech wants to make me a guard and I'm fine
with that."
Lott claims he is equally as effective at run blocking as pass blocking and
attributes his versatility to Marshall's balanced offense.
"I like doing both," he said. "We are 4-0 and have got the number one offense
