ALABASTER, Ala. — Back on March 1, Thompson High wide receiver Sam Reynolds committed to South Carolina. The 5-foot-8, 164 pound playmaker is known for his speed and quickness on the football field and he can't wait to make plays in Columbia.
Reynolds said South Carolina is everything he was looking for, from atmosphere to education and the strong connection with the coaching staff.

QUICK THOUGHTS FROM PRACTICE: Reynolds is a strong, compact athlete that can do many things. He is first looked at as a slot receiver, and he is good there, but he is also good out of the backfield and on special teams. He has a nice burst when he gets the ball and he has very strong, reliable hands. He is a competitor that asks questions, works to get better and he will find a role to be productive in the South Carolina offense.
