Move does not affect Greens commitment

Four-star quarterback Seth Green recently moved from the Twin Cities area in Minnesota down to Dallas to attend Allen High. He talked about whether that would affect his commitment to Oregon at this past weekend's Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour in Dallas.
"I am 100 percent committed," Green stated. "The relationship is really good and I am getting to know the coaches more. We'll keep on building that relationship and then helping recruit other people has definitely been a thing I'm trying to accomplish. Brandon Jones, the safety, and there are a couple others I am (working on)."

The last time Green visited Oregon was last fall for a game, but he has plans to return to Eugene in a few months.
"This summer I am going up there in June for a week," Green said. "I am just going to do the camp and then stay around campus and just get the feel for the place. I am looking forward to being out there and seeing how the coaches work in that element."
Green's permanent move to Eugene is also coming up quickly. He will graduate high school mid-year and start classes next January.
"I am just being the best I can be so that way when I get out there I can hit the ground running and avoid any pitfalls and things I might have to overcome when I get out there," Green said.
Despite the commitment to Oregon, Green has continued to add offers, including one from the University of Texas shortly before his move to the Dallas.
"They seemed pretty excited when they had heard about (the move)," Green said. "They actually hadn't heard about it before they offered me."
Green's focus, however, remains on the Ducks and on preparing to finish out his prep career at Allen High. He admitted leaving his friends behind in Minnesota was difficult, but he is looking forward to joining a talented team at Allen that includes five-star offensive tackle Gregory Little and four-star safety Jaylon Jones.
"I jumped right in," Green said. "For the most part it wasn't overly difficult. There are still some things that are unfamiliar, but I am adapting and acclimating well. One thing I have already experienced is the off-season work they have been putting us through is really exciting and you see how serious it is down here."
A starter since his freshman season at East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minn., Green will have to compete for the starting job at Allen this fall.
