Move changes things for Barree

Linebacker Bradley Barree was one of Oklahoma State’s earliest commitments, but as with life things can and do change. Barree used to play his football at DeSoto, but is now transferring to Trinity Christian, a private school that will allow him to play almost right away.
Barree said he and the DeSoto coaches weren’t quite “seeing eye-to-eye” and that prompted the transfer. He is expected to enroll on Monday and be eligible to play his first game on October 29th.

“Me and the coaches weren’t really on the same page,” Barree, who is 6-foot and 225 pounds, said. “We had an altercation, and me and the coaches weren’t seeing eye-to-eye.”
The move looks to have also cost him a scholarship to Oklahoma State.
“I’m no longer going to Oklahoma State,” Barree said. “They called me a few days ago and told me that they’re going to have to pull my scholarship. I don’t know what I’m going to do now. I’ve talked a few times to Kansas State on the phone, but I’ve not gotten any kind of other offers.”
Barree said he is excited about his new opportunity.
“Trinity Christian is 4-1 on the season,” he said. “I hope I can get in there and help them make the playoffs.”
