Moten to visit, Missouri, Boston College

John Moten does not lack confidence.
The St. Louis John Burroughs School running back holds a pair of scholarship offers. Northwestern and Illinois have long since made things official. He likes both schools and plans to inspect each further. Thing is, he plans to have other options to explore as well. And he plans to have them soon.

"I'm probably going to pick up two more offers this weekend," Moten said. "I'm going to Boston College this weekend, and they seem very, very interested. I'm also going to Missouri, and they seem very interested."
The coming weekend is a busy one for Moten. He'll attend Missouri's junior Day on Feb. 15 before hitting Boston College's on Feb. 16. He expects to come away with an offer from each. If not, though, plenty of other options exist. There are other programs heavily involved in his recruitment. He plans to tour Harvard while he's in the Boston area and is keeping the lines of communication open with a number of different schools.
"I'm just trying to keep an open mind to find the best fit for me," Moten said. "My parents think that's a great way to go about it. You can only play football for so long. Let's say I get a career-ending injury, which would be devastating, I want to be at a school where I enjoy the people and everyone is there to support me in the classroom. I have to have a good degree in case anything ever happens."
Moten runs the 100M and 200M on his high school track team. He spring camp schedule will be limited this spring because of his track schedule.
