Moten solid to Gators

On Tuesday, Rivals250 defensive lineman Anthony Moten committed to Florida his dream school.
After talking to assistant coach Brad Lawing, the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas standout took to Twitter to make his commitment public.

Earlier this morning Moten and his family met with his head coach Rocco Casullo to affirm his pledge and discuss the recruiting process.
"I made my commitment to Florida and it's solid. I met with Coach Casullo and he told me to consider other schools while I'm committed, so we came up with a top five list," stated Moten.
The Gators are No. 1 followed by Miami, Florida State, Clemson, and South Carolina.
Even with his top five list confirmed, Moten was adamant that he is committed to Florida. All of the aforementioned schools are actively recruiting him, but he is making sure to tell them it will take a lot to get him to change his mind.
Another thing going for Will Muschamp and the Florida staff is his family connection to Gainesville. His cousin Michael Moten was a part of the 1996 National Championship team.
Michael watched Anthony win a state Class 7A state championship for the Raiders last year and afterwards they spoke about his college choices.
"He just said to consider Florida, it's a great place. My parents and I talked and we all felt it was a good fit," noted Moten.
The Gators now have five players committed in the Rivals100 and Rivals250 rankings, respectively.
