Moss keeping quiet about his favorites

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Last weekend at the Texas State 7 on 7 Tournament, Rockwall (Texas) Heath linebacker Austin Moss stood out in several aspects. He has added some good weight and looks the part physically. He was able to display his athleticism and coverage abilities and he made it easy to see why schools from all over the country are after his services.
On Friday, Moss talked about his summer.

"I'm just doing a lot of offseason training," Moss said. "I've managed to go to several places and just start to figure out what I want. I've visited Baylor, Arkansas, Oklahoma State and some others."
Currently, Moss is up to 17 offers but he has begun to close in on some favorites, though he's not ready to name who they are just yet.
"I've narrowed it down pretty good," he said. "I think I've got a top five but I'm not going to say anything about that now. I want to make a decision at least before the season starts. I think it's just naturally coming to me that I know where I want to go."
Moss and his teammates had a good showing at the Tournament and Moss in particular showed that he has the ability to cover some very explosive athletes. In Heath's game against Beaumont West Brook, Moss was manned up most of the game with Rival100 back Christine Michael and more than held his own.
"[The State 7 on 7 Tournament] is awesome," he said. "I love to compete, especially in something like this. That really helps in coverage and knowing what's going on and stuff."
Before getting full-speed into the football season, Moss will be taking a little time for R and R.
"I have no clue what else is planned for the summer," he said. "I'm still thinking about where else I want to visit before the summer is over. I'm going to take a little vacation in Colorado and do some fishing but other than that I'll just be working out."
