Moss impressed with Syracuse

Mark Thomas of MDVarsity.com calls Rockville (Md.) Georgetown Prep receiver Tommy “Rice” Moss the most under-recruited prospect in the state of Maryland. However, it’s starting to look like things have changed on that front – especially after an impressive weekend visit to Syracuse.
“I liked it a lot,” Moss, who is 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, said. “I just felt really comfortable there. I knew a lot of the people up there from this area. It felt like home, but the one thing that was bad was that it was freezing.

“But that’s all right because they play indoors, though.”
Moss, who has already visited Illinois back in October, is slated to visit West Virginia this weekend. He father believes that he’s going to come back from the visit and commit to Syracuse when he returns.
“I’m not saying that he’s wrong, but I think I wouldn’t mind taking my other visits,” he said. “And I’m not going to rule out Illinois. I know they have a really good academic situation up there. We’ve also got a plan to drive down to Duke and North Carolina some time soon and see what they’re about. I might also check out Northwestern.”
Moss, a second cousin to Randy Moss, has scholarship offers from Duke, Illinois and Northwestern and Syracuse.
