Mortensen talks about pledge

"I went to the Minnesota game Saturday," quarterback Tony Mortensen said. "I just felt like it was time to commit."
"Obviously Minnesota was one of my top three choices all along. I've been a Gopher fan all my life."

"I think the program is going in the right direction. They are going to get to big bowl games. I wanted to be part of that."
"We haven't talked about redshirting. But I think that would be a good idea. I can get stronger and learn the offense."
"Wisconsin and Nebraska were the other two schools I liked."
The 6-foot-4 and 215 pound Mortensen, from Hutchinson, Minn., threw for over 1000 yards and rushed for 500 plus during his junior season. In two games this season he has 250 yards passing for two touchdowns, and has scored twice himself.
