Morris up to five offers

Tight end Ryan Morris of Barnegat (N.J.) is quietly becoming one of the top tight end targets in the region. Picking up four new offers in the last couple of weeks, and receiving serious interest from a number of other top programs, Morris is dealing with the hectic pace of his recruiting process.
"Recruiting is really picking up," said Morris. "Central Florida just offered to go along with my offers from Purdue, Louisville, Tulane and Syracuse."

Aside from these five offers, Morris, who is 6-foot-6 and 237 pounds, has also been receiving serious interest from Miami, Maryland, Cincinnati, UConn, Rutgers, South Carolina, Temple, Boston College and Iowa.
So far, Morris has been able to visit two of these schools.
"We went to Maryland's junior day and Rutgers' junior day," said Morris. "The visits went great. I liked the coaches and the campuses. I was invited to a lot of other junior days, but couldn't make it because I had basketball."
Morris is hoping to stay busy this spring and summer, but has no further visits scheduled at this time.
"I am planning to take a few visits during spring break, but I'm not sure where yet," said Morris. "And I have not made plans for summer camps yet."
During his process, Morris will be looking for a few specific aspects in a school and program.
"I'm looking for good academics, coaches that I have a good relationship with and a program that uses their tight end in the offense," said Morris.
Finally, while basketball season is now over for Morris, he will be spending his time this spring participating in another sport.
"I want to get faster and stronger this off-season," said Morris. "I am currently running track and I am in the weight room every day."
