Morris picks up ACC offer

Stephen Morris picked up a huge offer recently. This quarterback prospect from Miami Shores (Fla.) Pace High School visited Virginia and walked away impressed with the Cavaliers. He also earned a scholarship offer.
"I just came back from Virginia," Morris said. "They offered and I loved it. The school itself is amazing and the campus is beautiful. They have the No. 1 business school in nation. I also love their offensive coordinator (Gregg Brandon). He knows his stuff. We talked football for over two hours. We watched film. They are installing a new offense that's not complicated."

So where does Virginia stack up with the others on the Morris short list?
"They are in my top three from the schools that have offered with Purdue and Northwestern. I also like UConn, UCF, and Central Michigan.
"Right now I am waiting on some other schools like Florida and Ole Miss so I am trying to keep my options open. I want to find out what they will do.
"I honestly would like to make a decision before the end of the summer but I am not sure if I can make it up to see Purdue and I would really like to see them before I do decide. Or I can wait and make an official visit this fall."
Morris leaves for Las Vegas and Elite 11 tomorrow. He says he would like to play in the Sling and Shoot at USF in July. He will also camp at Florida for Friday Night Lights next month.
Morris, 6-2 and 186 pounds, is a three-star prospect. Last year as a junior he threw for 2,005 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
