Morgan still hoping to play this fall

Pearl River (Miss.) Community College wide receiver Donovan Morgan took his only official visit of the recruiting period on Jan. 17, to Mississippi. That visit was enough for him as he firmed up his verbal commitment with the Rebels after returning home.
"I had a good time on my visit to Ole Miss," the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Morgan said. "It was everything I thought it was going to be. But then signing day came and went. I'm just waiting for the semester to end and see where things are at that point."

During his sophomore season, Morgan led Pearl River to a 7-2 record this season with 41 receptions for 851 yards and six touchdowns.
With his January trip to Mississippi being the only official trip the New Orleans, La. Native took, the possibility for some trips this spring and summer still exists.
"I'm hopeful that I can take some other visits yet this spring," he said. "I've talked to Arkansas, Mississippi State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Michigan State and Kansas State. But right now I don't have anything lined up with any of those schools. I am still also looking at Ole Miss as a possibility for me. I want to find a good situation for me to go into and help out right away."
Morgan has only two years to complete his last two seasons of eligibility.
Morgan needs to finish up his class load for this semester and then complete 12 hours during the summer session in order to graduate.
"I need to take a math class, a computer class, a biology class with a lab and a psychology class to wrap it all up. I'm still hopeful I can get it done."
