Morgan making waves

New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine has gotten off to a strong start in 2013 behind a powerful offensive attack. On the ground, five-star running back Leonard Fournette is the headliner, but the Purple Knights are more than ground and pound, they also have an aerial attack with 2015 wide receiver Stanley Morgan leading the charge.
"It's going great. The season has been going good," Morgan said. "We had a rough week against Karr and then we came out with the victory against Covington. So we're doing alright."

Alright is one way to put it, but do not let Morgan fool you, he has been putting up strong numbers of his own. Going into the season he wanted to show more speed and better blocking, and it is safe to say he has accomplished those goals while also posting a team leading 13 receptions for 228 yards and four touchdowns.
Morgan jumped onto the recruiting radar of many teams during a sophomore season which saw him earn all-district honors. Then he took his talents on the road as he hit the summer camp circuit.
"I really liked the Florida State camp. They really took care of me," Morgan said. "I went to LSU. I went to Oklahoma State's camp. Then I went to Alabama's camp. That was really fun out there for three days. That's pretty much all the camps."
Each of the above programs let him know they liked what they saw.
"No, no offers, but they speak highly about me and they're going to be recruiting me a lot," Morgan said. "They're going to be on my tail."
Tulane and Michigan State have extended offers to the St. Augustine standout. At this time, Morgan is taking his time with the recruiting process, and he does not have any visits on his schedule.
