Morgan has a good time in Happy Valley

Rivals100 defensive end Derrick Morgan made an official visit to Penn State this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 260-pounder had an enjoyable trip to Happy Valley even though it was short.
"It was a pretty short visit to Penn State," he said. "I got there on Saturday morning and had a very good time.

"My host was Jared Odrick and I was comfortable with him. I felt like I fit in well with the players and they seemed to be a good group of guys."
One thing the Coatesville, Pa. prospect took notice of was Penn State's depth chart.
"The depth chart is important to me and I know they took a lot of defensive linemen last year," he said. "That doesn't really bother me though because I know I'll have to compete wherever I go."
Morgan particularly enjoyed taking in the game in State College.
"I grew up a fan of Ohio State, but Penn State is everything in eastern Pennsylvania," he said. "The whiteout there was awesome to see and the atmosphere overall was just very impressive.
"I thought Penn State played pretty well. Obviously with the quarterbacks getting hurt that was tough and they faced an aggressive defensive. Defensively I did like the way they rotated guys in so everyone gets some playing time. I can say that the loss didn't affect my visit at all."
Morgan still has one more visit scheduled to Boston College on October 27th. He is also hoping to get to North Carolina State for an unofficial visit before deciding.
