Morgan changes tune

Seattle (Wash.) Ballard quarterback Cole Morgan (6-2, 180, 4.8) has changed gears regarding his college of the future. He has de-committed from Montana and has now committed to Washington State.
Cougars get a player with an incredible work ethic. Morgan is the kind of guy that will get the most out of his abilities. The good news is Morgan has the potential to be quite good.

The Cougars think that Morgan has the ability to be another Jason Gesser. Not too shabby if true.
Morgan is a very intelligent quarterback and he is considered a student of the game.
Former Cougar great Jack Thompson is the quarterback coach and that may have helped in Morgan’s decision.
In story posted by CougZone.com, Morgan said this about his quarterback coach Jack Thompson, "He demands a lot and I respect him for that. I definitely wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am without him."
In the Seattle Times it was reported that Morgan told the Montana Grizzlies that he was going to still entertain other options. In the Times report it stated that Morgan chose the Cougars because he wanted to be closer to home and be closer to his ailing Grandmother and his little sister who is in the sixth grade.
In five games this season Morgan has completed 49 of 71 attempts for 661 yards, 9 touchdowns, and 3 picks.
As a junior, Morgan was selected second-team all-league after throwing for 1,468 yards and 21 touchdowns.
The Cougars have had a tradition landing great quarterbacks. It looks like they have struck pay dirt again.
Joining Morgan at Wazzu will be his Ballard teammate three-star running back J.T. Diederichs. The Cougars are also in the hunt for another Ballard star in standout athlete Keauntea Bankhead, who has WSU, UW, and ASU as his top three colleges at this time.
Bankhead plans on visiting all three.
