Moreira eyes three

River Ridge (La.) John Curtis running back George Moreira has picked up offers from Arkansas State, Houston, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, McNeese State, Southern Miss, and Tulane over the course of the recruiting process. With the season starting he is now closing in on a decision.
He is not exactly sure when he will decide, but he is looking to make his decision in the next couple of weeks.

"I just felt like with my senior season God forbid I get injured," Moreira said, "and I just wanted to find a home early and focus on the season and try to help my team out the best I can and not worry about college coaches calling me and stuff like that."
While he does not know exactly when he will decide, he does have his list narrowed to three options.
"I'd have to say Southern Miss, Houston, and Arkansas State," Moreira said.
"Houston when I visited this summer they have a real, real good program. Coach Middleton the receivers coach, coach Bush the running backs coach are nice, real genuine guys. Then Kenneth Farrow the sophomore running back there talked to me about a lot of good stuff.
"With Southern Miss I have really strong relationship with coach John Simon, the running backs coach at Southern Miss. I talk to him probably twice or three times a week.
"With Arkansas State, coach Baker and coach Drinkwitz are real cool guys. I went up there this summer and I loved the campus and I love the coaching staff. Coach Harsin, the head coach, told me a lot of great things."
At this time Moreira did not name a favorite out of the three programs. He does not plan to take any visits before announcing his decision.
