More visits on tap for 2016 QB

Brandon McIlwain, one of the top quarterbacks in the 2016 class, has visited close to ten schools already this offseason and he isn't done yet. The last school the Newtown (Pa.) Council Rock North star visited was Ohio State and the Buckeyes made a very good impression.
"I had a great tour," said the 6-foot, 205-pound McIlwain. "We got to see some of the facilities that were right around the indoor field. We saw the weight room, the training room and some of the other things that have right around there. I also went through the camp there. There were a lot of really good quarterback and wide receivers. I got to talk to coach Meyer and coach Herman. They said I have one of the strongest arm they seen."

Dozens of schools have offered McIlwain but is seems like this visit did a lot of Ohio State in his eyes.
"I definitely like Ohio State," he said. "I'm going to keep talking to the coaches there and build those relationships. It's a great school with great quarterback tradition."
McIlwain will be taking a visit to California this weekend but McIlwain has yet to decide which schools are his favorites.
"I'm still trying to figure out which are my top schools," McIlwain said. "That's why I'm doing these visits and there's a lot more to see. I've had a lot of great visits and I'm seeing a lot of great things. Towards the end of the summer I'll be able to pick out schools that are standing out to me.
"I'm still keeping in touch with all the coaches that all the other schools," he said. "It doesn't mean I'm not interested in them if I haven't visited yet. I'm still talking to Maryland, Boston College, Nebraska and Michigan State and Temple."
There was one visit that stands out among the rest.
"One of the visits that was really good was Tennessee," said McIlwain. "I got to spend the whole day there, talking to all the coaches there and I watched film with Coach Bajakian. After that I did a work out in their stadium which was really cool."
So far McIlwain has visited Miami, Florida, Auburn, Duke, Clemson, Tennessee, North Carolina and Ohio State but more are on the horizon after his visit to Cal this weekend.
"In about three weeks I'm going to visit Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia during July 13 through 15 I think," he said. "I'm also going to make it out to South Carolina on July 25 and Penn State on July 19."
McIlwain will be training on the west coast until the Cal camp on Saturday.
