More visits for WR Kizer

Three-star Memphis (Tenn.) Melrose wide receiver Corey Kizer made a verbal commitment to Ole Miss in December, but just how firm is he with that decision?
“I still consider myself committed to Ole Miss,” he said. “But I’m taking some more official visits to be sure. I went to South Carolina this past weekend, and I’m going up to Kentucky this weekend. I’ll make my final decision after I take that visit.”

Kizer (6-3, 190, 4.45) and his teammate, quarterback Antonio Heffner, are both being recruited heavily by the Gamecocks and Wildcats. They took their visit to Columbia together and plan to do the same at Lexington.
“We’ve both got to make our own decision for the school that’s best for us individually,” Kizer said, “but it would be nice to play together. We’ll just have to wait and see if that works out.
“Kentucky has been recruiting me for a long time, but they kind of dropped off for a while. But I think when things started coming together with them and Antonio, maybe they decided to get back on me.”
And how was the trip to South Carolina?
“It went real well,” he said. “I liked it a lot. It was better than I thought it would be. I liked the city and the campus. They have some nice facilities, especially the players’ dorm. Coach Holtz was nice. I enjoyed getting to meet him and listen to him talk about their program. I think it’s a place where I could fit in pretty well.”
As a senior, Kizer caught approximately 40 passes for 700 yards and seven touchdowns. He's rated the No. 33 wideout in the nation by Rivals.com.
