More visits for Boland

Offensive lineman Michael Boland of North Bethesda (Md.) Georgetown Prep has not received the publicity that many of the other top linemen in the region have received up to this point, but that is beginning to change. Boland has taken a couple of junior day visits, and has three more visits lined up.
"I have been to several colleges for junior days," said Boland, who is 6-foot-7 and 285 pounds. "I went to Rutgers and Maryland, and have trips to UNC, Duke and N.C. State lined up in the next couple of weeks."

Boland gave a few thoughts about his two junior day visits, first Rutgers.
"I really liked Coach Schiano a lot," said Boland. "I thought he really knew his stuff on and off the field, and really has the desire to win at RU."
Boland's second visit was to Maryland.
"I have gotten to know Coach Brattan pretty well, so I really enjoyed spending the day with him," said Boland. "Also, the basketball game after the junior day was a fun experience."
Overall, Boland believes that Maryland, Duke, Boston College, North Carolina and N.C. State are currently showing him the most interest. Two other schools will also receive visits later this year.
"I will be at Virginia Tech on June 4th, I believe, and I'm going to Penn State for their camp too," said Boland.
Finally, Boland mentioned a few things he is looking for in a school and program.
"I want a good and solid tradition, a great coaching staff and a well-rounded education," said Boland.
